Service Description:

These shapes represent the Service Areas within which an irrigation organization can deliver water rights. They do not represent the total acres that a irrigation organization can irrigate. That is determined by the organization's and/or shareholder's individual water rights. These shapes may change during a water right adjudication, an Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) administrative action, or other legal boundary change process. If PlaceOfUse = -999 then the service area is a combination of the water rights with spatially described places of use in the name of organization. This technique is used to describe organizations where the SRBA has not occured and /or recommendations for the Northern Idaho Adjudication have not been made. If an organization does not have water rights described at the IDWR but was created pursuant to I.C. Title 43, it will be included on request of IDWR staff and identified by PROCESS = none & PlaceofUse = 0.The boundary encompassing the place of use for an Irrigation Organization's water right(s) can be referred to as a Large Place of Use if described with a digital boundary as defined by I.C. Section 42-202B(2) and authorized pursuant to I.C. Section 42-1411(2)(h). The delivery of water to the acreage authorized for the water right(s) within the digital boundary is controlled by the Irrigation Organization. A Large Place of Use can be identified with a LPOU = YES. Drainage Districts and Tribal Rights are not represented.
