Description: State Boundaries adjacent to Idaho were downloaded from Census Bureau 2000 tiger data. Generalized Canadian provinces were downloaded from ESRI Canada and were merged with the US data to create one dataset. Since the census data is at 1:100,000 scale or better, and the Canadian data is at an unknown scale, the US boundary was used where there were discrepancies at the international border. This dataset is to be used for display and cartographic work. If detailed boundary information is needed, the state or province should be contacted for an accurate description of boundaries.
