The data set was created by digitizing county polygon features from 1:24,000-scale Digital Raster Graphic (DRG) files produced by the U.S. Geological Survey. The county boundaries were dissolved to create a state boundary.</span></p><p><span>These data are intended for geographic display and analysis at the state and county level. The data should be displayed and analyzed at scales appropriate for 1:24,000-scale data.
