The lower Boise River sub-basin begins where the Boise River exits the mountains near Lucky Peak Reservoir. From Lucky Peak Dam, the lower Boise River flows about 64 (river) miles northwestward through the Treasure Valley to its confluence with the Snake River. The project area extends south to the Snake River because ground water flows from some portions of the lower Boise River basin south toward the Snake River.

The Executive Summary for the Treasrue Valley Hydrologic Project is available at: http://www.idwr.idaho.gov/WaterInformation/Publications/misc/tvhp/TVHP_ExecSummary-final.pdf
